Montreat Conference Experience

"Do Justice, Love Mercy, and Play Humbly with God", and "Recrea-ology" are two workshops I attended while at a recent conference at Montreat. At the first workshop we discussed ways to community build and orient groups going on mission trips and those participating in service projects. We also experienced recreation and crafts that were great for "on the go," reviewed several educational resources that could be used in training, and concluded our workshop discussing ways in which we could process and continue the experiences once we got back home from our mission/service trips.

The "Recrea-ology" workshop discussed the role of theology in recreation as we participated in recreational activities that could involve the whole life of the church. Both workshops were extremely beneficial for planning mission trips, service projects, for use in confirmation, Vacation Bible School, and Wednesday night programming. I look forward to sharing this information with our church and having fun as we, "Do Justice, Love Mercy, and Play Humbly with God!"
